Attracting 4.6 million visitors each year this 10,000 acre Park stretches from Hertfordshire through Essex, North London, Olympic Park and down to the River Thames. Offering a range of open spaces which are perfect for walking and cycling there are over 27 miles of pathway, linked to Sustrans National Cycle Network Route One, which take you along rivers, through woodland and around lakes.

With over 40 walking and cycling routes to explore Lee Valley Regional Park is a top destination to get away from the noise and congestion of busy towns and roads. Take time out to relax, get out in the fresh air, enjoy the wildlife and get fit at the same time. Discover the beauty and variety of River Lee Country Park in Waltham Abbey, or explore the wildlife and heritage of Walthamstow Marshes. Cycle hire is available in River Lee Country Park and at Tottenham Marshes, with many cycle racks throughout the Park.

Lee Valley Regional Park hosts over 300 local, regional and national annual events. Sunday 21 June sees the biggest free sport and physical activity event in North London. Sporting Futures takes place at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, Edmonton and aims to motive people to get active and lead healthy lifestyles. The Enfield Festival of Cycling will be at the event and visitors can try out tandems, tricycles and a range of unusual bicycles.
